The Lindsey Wilson Singers donned bowties to celebrate Honorary Alumnus Award recipient Duane Bonifer.
Bonifer, who is known for the preferred neck wear, worked for LWC from 1991 to 2016. He is credited for developing the College's first-ever website, the current LWC logo and adapting the tagline "Every Student, Every Day" from the College mission statement. Directed by LWC Associate Professor of Music Gerald Chafin, current and former members of the LWC Singers performed the South African praise song "Gabi, Gabi," a favorite of Bonifer's. Betty Jean Moseley accepts Honorary Alumna Award

Betty Jean Moseley of Bowling Green, Kentucky, accepts the Honorary Alumna Award on Saturday at the 91st LWC National Alumni Association Awards Celebration Luncheon. Moseley and her late husband, Doug, have been longtime contributors to the Lindsey Wilson endowment and began the Doug and Betty Jean Endowed Scholarship which has grown to more than $264,000. In April, Betty Jean gave a substantial gift to name the Doug and Betty Jean Moseley Auditorium in the Hodge Center for Discipleship. Comments | Permalink

McGowan receives Outstanding Young Alumna Award

Russell County native and Outstanding Young Alumna Award recipient Casey Hardy McGowan accepts her award on Saturday at the 91st LWC National Alumni Association Awards Celebration Luncheon. McGowan graduated summa cum laude from LWC in 2014. She attended Emory (Georgia) University School of Law where she earned a Juris Doctor with honors. Currently, McGowan is serving as an associate corporate counsel for Amazon and lives in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Comments | Permalink
