OCC 2022: Lindsey Athletics donates 357 shoebox gifts

Lindsey Wilson College athletic teams joined together on campus last week to produce 357 shoeboxes filled with toys, school supplies and personal hygiene items for children in developing countries during the Christmas season.

"Our student-athletes and coaches take great pride in our department-wide outreach programs," Lindsey Wilson athletic director Willis Pooler said. "We love supporting the Adair County-Columbia community, but we equally embrace Operation Christmas Child and going beyond our community to make an impact on a global scale.

OCC 2022: Glens Fork Church of Good News

Mark writes, "Making the final delivery of the 2022 OCC national drop off campaign was the Glens Fork Church of Good News. Carol Klingberg is pictured making the drop off. Klingberg's delivery brought the final total of shoe box gifts in Adair County to 2,701."

OCC 2022: LWC Baseball helps load the truck

Mark writes, "Members of the Lindsey Wilson College Blue Raider baseball team form an assembly line to help load the OCC boxes that had been delivered over the weekend. All of the Green River Area boxes will travel to the Processing Center in Boone North Carolina. That will be their final stop before making their way to children and families all around the world."
