Brian and Carol Thomas win basket at MTS Festival

The basket of local items donated by the Jane Lampton Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution to the Mark Twain Storytelling Festival was won by Brian and Carol Thomas. They are pictured here with new DAR member Valerie Jane Murrell Adams, at left. The cut out of literary artist Mark Twain, who's mother Jane Lampton was an Adair County native, is included just for fun. TJCMF presents Glasgow PD with trauma kits

The T.J. Community Mission Foundation and T.J. Regional Health, through the coordination of T.J. Samson Community Hospital's newly designated Level IV Trauma Center, recently presented the Glasgow Police Department with individual trauma first aid tourniquet kits designed to help officers provide lifesaving care during emergency situations.
