Soup and sandwich lunch for a good cause

It was a perfect fall day for the Trabue-Russell House soup and sandwich lunch and fellowship time Wednesday, October 18, 2023. Proceeds go to maintenance of the historic property. Lunch included White beans and cornbread, Chili and crackers, Kentucky Burgoo, Pimento Cheese Sandwich, Ham and Cheese Sliders, Chocolate Chip Cookies, Oatmeal-Raisin Cookies, Chess Bars, Brownies, Lemonade, Water and Fresh Apple Cider. Contributing chefs were Robert Flowers, Don and Betty Knifley, Mary Anne Loy, Susan Loy, Richard Phelps, Mike Watson and others.

EDA appreciates all who support jobs efforts

Economic Development Authority Chairman Larry Walker says, "As with any great team, it takes several players to make things happen!" He asked EDA consultant Heather Spoon to write the accompanying update and thank you letter for all who have helped in efforts to bring in new jobs.
