I'm not sure if these two were courting or establishing territory, but they didn't seem to have much to do with each other after this brief clash. (These two birds weren't in Kentucky, as evidenced by the blurry palm trees in the background, but local birds clash/court in the same ways.) Comments | Permalink

Crafty raccoons have visited the back porch before but they never had the ammunition to leave such a surprising mess until I forget the canned drinks when the temperature dropped below freezing. To the animals, it was simply an invitation. Comments | Permalink
