Robert writes, "The scenic overlook on this road was unexpected, and we were taken by surprise (so much for the research). This grand view doesn't fully reveal itself until you walk to the edge...then wow! The overlook is where the blacktop ends and turns to gravel. This was also where we turned around and headed back down. The mountains in the background are all 5 peaks of the Henry Mountains.
If we ever return to this area again I would like to continue on the gravel road to see even more of the famous sites along this portion of the trail!"
