Band members celebrating 2024 journey

As we celebrate this special week for the Adair Band, enjoy this throwback from the beginning of the marching season at the Mark Twain exhibition show. The Seniors along with Adair County Schools Superintendent Jason Faulkner present members of the Murray State University Marching Band with a plaque of appreciation for their performance. ACHS Band working toward weekend competition

Seniors Lash Davenport, at left, and Grant Adamson warm up together prior to their performance. This week is both mentally and physically challenging for the students as they make their final stride towards advancing to State Competition October 26, 2024.

First female to serve as AC Superintendent

At the 2024 Silent City history walk through the Columbia Cemetery, thanks to Lee Ann Jessee, pictured here, we got to meet Georgia Reed Shelton who taught school in one room schools in Adair County and became very involved with the school administration, and fundraising. She served as the first female to be Adair County School Superintendent.
