The historic Courthouse in the center of town was converted to a local museum once the new Judicial Center was built. This is one of the rooms inside the Metcalfe County History Museum featuring quilts, pictures, drawings and posters from past events plus tools and more. Gospel music has been popular since the early 1900s, but with the advent of records, more could enjoy it at home. The long playing record in the Metcalfe County History Museum is of the Edmonton Quartet from the 1970s and features Tommy Shirley, Larry Cooksey, Tammi Lynn Kidd, Wayne Sexton, Jimmy McCubbins, and John McCubbins.
