Veronica writes, "Unsure if Superman will visit, but this little one isn't ready to part with the ice fortress she built during Winter Storm Fern. Fortress of Solitude was not built in a day! Just like Rome! But with the whole family pitching in we got it done. Unsure what's more important, building the fort or building the memories?" Comments | Permalink

Birds of Kentucky: Great Crested Flycatcher

Great Crested Flycatchers are common in summer months in Kentucky, although they tend to winter much farther south. This one was spotted in Florida back in January.
Wikipedia says, "Despite the 'flycatcher' of the bird's name, flies, along with spiders, make up only a small percentage of its diet; it prefers prey such as butterflies, moths, beetles, grasshoppers, crickets, and bees and wasps. Comments | Permalink
