Back at the Stacie Bennett Place, 2025, 1 of 2

2025-06-12 - Adair Co., KY - Photo by Robert Ellis, robertelliswoodworking.com
Robert writes, "I recently returned to photograph some of the antique collectables Stacie has displayed at his place. In between my visits, more relics seemed to have been brought in and arranged differently than my last visit...I like that!

So much to photograph; I purposely stayed in one area and focused on the antiques within that self-imposed perimeter. Otherwise, one can easily become overwhelmed with all the potential photos which are way too numerous to try and capture in one visit."

Little red mushroom

Came across this small red mushroom while walking in the woods. It looks like it might have been tasted by the local wildlife, but then not eaten.

Ice cream, burgers, dogs, tater tots and more...

2025-06-11 - Columbia, KY - Photo courtesy Mike Watson, via facebook from Bobby Drummer Coffey
Mike Watson writes, "If you remember, then you remember! Whether you remember it as the Tasty Freeze, the Tasty Twirl, or the Hungry Hound, this icon of Fairground Street has a warm spot in your heart, a throwback to yesteryear.

It was operated by several individuals over its lifespan, originally by L.W. Cole, the Arvin Burris family, Thelbert Curry, and as the Hungry Hound by Jack Garrett. This photo should bring back many memories. Located across the street from the entrance to the Old Adair County Fairgrounds, it was loved by all and well remembered."
