Russell County first responders picked up the escort of KBR2025 at the county line as the bikers left Adair County and headed to completion of their mission honoring Deputy Josh Phipps who was shot and killed while pursuing a fleeing suspect in Russell Springs on September 16, 2024.

The Kentucky Brotherhood Ride crossed over Russell Creek, heading up the hill on East 80 nearing the connection with Green Hills Road. This steep climb is their second big hill after they left Columbia and biked up Jamestown Street hill to Russell Road.
