TRH garden flowers gifted to nursing home

The last of the blossoms from the gardens at Columbia's Trabue Russell House were snipped and tucked into plastic bottle vases for delivery Friday to the nursing home to be made into bright bouquets. JIM writes, "This appeared in the October 28, 1930 edition of the Adair County News. At that time, Mr. Herschel Taylor owned (or possibly co-owned with Dallas Stotts) the Cafe. Founded in 1916 by Mr. L.M. Young, it was located near the west corner of the Square."
