Family Medical Centers COVID-19 testing center has moved to the old Fairgrounds/City Park Pavillon, 413 Fairgrounds Street, Columbia, to allow for expanded numbers of people needing the test. Ribbon cutting officially opens new DQ in Columbia

The official opening, bringing Dairy Queen back to Columbia, took place Tuesday, November 10, 2020 in a windy outdoor setting. Everyone wore masks in hopes of containing the spread of the Coronavirus, with social distancing for all but the moments for the photo documenting the event. Present for the group picture of City and County officials with DQ owners and managers were: Charles Greer, Bobby Morrison, Wes Bryant, Ellen Zornes, Mark Harris, Sharon Payne, Jamie Cole, Bobby Bowe, R Ted Wells, Jim Vavrek, Mike Root, Samantha Porter-Wooten, Charlie Dunham, Jennifer Ramey, Matt Frauenshuh, Ronald Rogers, Pam Hoots, Orvis Grider, Craig Lasley, Jason Cross, Gale Cowan, Terry Johnson, Jr Murphy, Harold Burton, Linda Waggener.
