Deb writes, "Congrats to Bridget Maupin on her retirement from Adair County Schools. She has worked in education for 28 years both in Estill County and Adair as a special education teacher. Most recently she has taught at the Adair County Middle School and we will miss her terribly, but know she will have a fantastic retirement. Congratulations Bridget!"

Another oil well strike on Hwy 61 Tuesday

2020-12-23 - Adair County, KY - Photo by Victoria Pike, Spread Boss, Miss Vicky's Pampered Angus Ranch
This well was drilled in yesterday afternoon south of Cumberland Parkway and the Hunter Place, part of the Pampered Angus Ranch. The smell of oil was thick in the air. No comments yet on how the girls like or dislike the smell of fresh crude oil. Guess they will have to get used to it. Merry Christmas to all. - Vicky
