New cafe is now open with wine grown locally

Frank and Freda Cook are enjoying the opening of their new business - The Farm Cook Family Vineyard - a newly opened winery and cafe off Montpelier Road in Adair County. They are pictured with Ella Ruhl. They're cooking homemade food and will be able to sell wine produced on their own acres soon.

Bald Eagle spotted near Citizens Park

Sheriff Roy says, "Was able to see this magnificent bird, in a tree next to Citizens Park on Burkesville Street. There's just something amazing about seeing a bald eagle."

Kentucky Color: Second largest Sassafras

Billy Joe writes, "I don't know if this is the second largest Sassafras tree in Kentucky, but is certainly the largest I've ever seen in person! It is located on the Beaver Pond Trail at Homeplace on Green River/Tebbs Bend Nature and Recreation Area!"
