Alex Gillespie, a junior at Russell County High School and student in Malcolm Sloan's Industrial Maintenance Technology class at the LCRCWC, is predicted to be a competition winner. That's what Mr. Sloan told visitors from the Columbia Adair EDA who were touring the Center this week. He pointed out his student at work and predicted she and her team partner Natalie Bomar, a RCHS senior, would be the winners in robotics regional competition on Monday. Comments | Permalink

Economic Development Authority Board member Chester Taylor was the encourager who felt every EDA member should know what an asset the Lake Cumberland Regional College and Workforce Center is to the recruitment of new business. He is retired from having been Principal of the school and one who was very involved in its development. He is pictured at right introducing the Center to those arriving for the meeting. Greg Bardin, member and friend of trip host Chester Taylor, volunteered to drive the Egypt Christian Church bus so that any who wanted to could ride together and discuss the destination - the Lake Cumberland Regional College and Workforce Center.
