A special birthday dinner was enjoyed over the weekend - Farmers Market lamb burgers and a unique slaw. Ground lamb burgers were served between sturdy buns spread with lemon-caper aioli (capers, mayonnaise, olive oil, lemon zest and lemon juice, mustard and garlic), under a topper of slaw. The burger is almost invisible in this picture as it was covered by the tasty slaw. Comments | Permalink

Heavy rains possible Tuesday and Thursday

Adair Co. Emergency Management Director Mike Keltner sends an update on expected heavy rainfall this week. The National Weather Service in Louisville is predicting heavy rain on Tuesday, with 3+ inches possible in south-central Kentucky.
The threat for true flash flooding is low, but small stream flooding and eventually minor river flooding are likely. All river basins are under a threat of at least minor flooding by mid to late week.
Another wave Wednesday night through late Thursday could drop 1-2 inches of rain, leading to more flooding. Comments | Permalink
