All About Birds says to "Look for Indigo Buntings in weedy fields and shrubby areas near trees, singing from dawn to dusk atop the tallest perch in sight or foraging for seeds and insects in low vegetation."

Veterans banners being hung on election day

The Veterans banner program is coming to completion as banners are going up around the Public Square today. This one honors Paul Smith, USMC.

These are purchased from the City of Columbia by friends and family and stay up about six months at a time before being replaced. They will plan on doing more this fall. For details contact the City at 270-384-2501.
