All the colors around the square are brightening things up beautifully and now the July event, Paint the Town, is scheduled to make colors pop even more. Makayla White, a fifth grade student from Adair Elementary School (ACES), has been selected the Adair County and Mid-Cumberland Retired Teachers Association winner in the "2021-2022 Grandparent of the Year" essay contest, for her essay about her great grandfather, Jack Garrett. She read her award winning essay to the crowd.
She is presented the awards - a plaque and a $50 prize - by interim Adair County Retired Teacher Association President Mark Fudge. They attended the Middle Cumberland Retired Teachers Association meeting in Albany, KY, on Thursday morning, June 9, 2022. Comments | Permalink Older Photos
