Mysterious volunteer

I discovered this volunteer plant where no garden had ever been - no idea what brought the seed to this spot. I'm not sure whether the pretty yellow flower indicates a squash of some kind or cucumber. If any CM gardener recognizes it, I'd appreciate knowing what to expect. - LW Comments | Permalink

Mama deer and her romping twins visited the yard this week. There are just enough trees and brush along the Town Creek for protection that they feel free to wander and look for sweet grasses. Comments | Permalink
