Mosby Ridge Road bridge destined for city park

2022-08-03 - Metcalfe County, KY - Photo by Bill Lagermann
August first was a big day on Mosby Ridge Road. The single-lane bridge was moved to be disassembled and eventually relocated to the City Park in Edmonton to be used as part of a new walking trail. The bridge had been moved from Campbellsville in 1957. Chris and Bill shared that some people are upset to see the bridge taken out, but it was in very bad shape and it is a blessing it didn’t collapse. It was very interesting how they bring in counterweights for the crane - the crew was very informative.
