Rev. Samuel Warner, 93, Taylor County, KY (1930-2024)

Rev. Samuel Warner, 93, of Campbellsville, KY, son of the late James L. Warner and Loral Campbell Warner was born April 3, 1930, in Casey County, Kentucky, and departed this life on April 1, 2024.

Samuel pastored several churches in the South Kentucky Association throughout his 55 years of ministry. He enjoyed working on small engines and gardening. He professed faith in Christ and was of the Separate Baptist faith. He united in marriage to Ms. Betty Jean Lay on December 26, 1950. She preceded him in death on September 20, 2015.


Samuel is survived by:

Three sons: Donnie Lee Warner of Campbellsville; Steven Lynn Warner and his wife, Linda Kay Warner, of Campbellsville; and Travis Eugene Warner of Louisville

Five grandchildren: Kristen Warner of Chatham, IL; Alison Coke and her husband, Kelly, of Louisville; Jeremy Steven Warner of Campbellsville; Zachary Scott Warner and his wife, Miriah, of Elk Horn; and Rowan Warner of Campbellsville

Four great-grandchildren: Andrew Goetz of Chatham, IL; Avery Goetz of Chatham, IL; Cooper Linn Warner of Louisville; and Gentry Harrison Warner of Elk Horn

A host of other relatives and friends

Samuel was preceded in death by:

One son, Darrell Glen Warner

One daughter in law, Mary Warner

Six brothers: Earl Warner, Merl Warner, O.D. Warner, JP Warner, Ed Warner, and Chester B Warner

FUNERAL: Thursday, April 4th, 2024 at 1pmET at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville with entombment to follow in the mausoleum at Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Visitation from 10-1. Bro. Steven Warner will be officiating.

PALLBEARERS: Zachary Warner, Jeremy Warner, Junior Warner, Jeff Warner, Johnny Warner, and Charles Lay

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested expressions of sympathy be in the form of donations to Gideon Bibles and Separate Baptist Foreign Missions and may be made at the funeral home.
