Eldon Ray McBeath, 78, Russell County, KY (1943-2021)

Eldon Ray McBeath, of Russell Springs, passed away Friday, October 8, 2021, at his home. He was 78 years of age.

Born on September 11, 1943, in Russell Springs, he was a son of the late Floren and Tina Perkins McBeath. Eldon was a mechanic for Russell Sportswear for 18 years. He was part owner of E & K Construction, from which he retired. Eldon was a long-time member of Lakewood Country Club, where he played golf at every opportunity.

He was a professional fisherman on Lake Cumberland and Lake Barkley for several years. Eldon played the guitar and bass and enjoyed listening to live bluegrass music. He loved his family and especially cherished spending time with his two granddaughters.



Survivors include his beloved wife of 57 years, Glena D. McBeath; a son, Randy McBeath (and Teresa Bright); a daughter, LeAnn (and Brian) Fisher, of Bowling Green; and two granddaughters, Addisyn Fisher and Ashten Fisher, both of Bowling Green.

In addition to his parents, Eldon was preceded in death by 2 brothers; and 4 sisters.

Funeral services for Eldon will be 2pmET on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at Bernard Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Baptist Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11-2 on Thursday, until time for services.

Pallbearers will be Kenny Hammond, Francis Hatfield, Darren Johnson, Jerry D. Roy, Alan Neal Gosser, and Greg Coe.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Eldon's memory be made to Fairview Baptist Church, Attention: Memorial, PO Box 1298, Russell Springs, KY.

Bernard Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
