Silent City 2018 - Grady, Cravens, Eubank, Baker, Hurt portrayed By Victoria Pike The 12th Annual "Silent City" Columbia City Cemetery Tour was held Monday, October 1, 2018. Historical notes of each individual selected are reflected by presenters in a graveside vignette about the person buried there. Attendees first gather at the Adair Public Library, 307 Greensburg Street, Columbia, and then travel the few blocks as a group to the cemetery where presenters are positioned. The entire program lasts about an hour, then everyone goes back to the library for a reception. The 2018 historical characters selected and their presenters were: Kate Grady by Ernestine Bennett Timoleon Cravens by Mike Watson Joseph Eubank by David Eubank Emma Eubank by Melanie Brown. Herschel Tate Baker and Mattie Baker by J.D. and Ellen Zornes Judge Rollin T. Hurt by Steven Baker October is Family History Month in the United States and the Silent City Tour is the Library's effort to kick-off a month of family and local history research.
