Melissa Stone documents Great Dillon Street Bear Hunt & More These 'Short Hunters' had more primitive weapons than 'Long Hunters' who hunted just up the road, had Click on headline for album By Melissa Stone It was a beautiful day. I had to share pictures, including one of an armed party, led by Jimmy Stone, went on a Bear Hunt on Dillon Street in Columbia, Daniel Boone among them, had a bear hunting camp. In the party were mighty Bear Hunters Cooper Bennett and Zander and Zayne Knight. Ironically, Dillon Street, is not so far from the Mt. Gilead just across the Green County line, where the Long Hunters, maybe with Daniel Boone camped years ago.
