Go or NO GO, Delays, Schedule Changes - Wed 14 Mar 2018

David Jones, Adair County School District Director of Transportation, called early this morning to announce that Adair County Schools are on a one-hour delay.

Larry Smith reports a number of school districts in our area are closed or on a delayed schedule today, Wednesday, March 14, 2018, due to black ice.

OPEN, on DELAYED schedule

  • Metcalfe County Schools "Metcalfe County Schools will be operating on a ONE HOUR DELAY on Wednesday, March 14th, 2018." Website:

School closings and delays are also carried on local media, including Larry Smith for 99.9 FM, the Big Dawg, WBKO-Tv, largely for the area west and North of Columbia, and by WKYT-Tv for the area to the East and Northeast of Columbia, with some overlap. Remember to be alert for phone alerts from School Systems.
