LWC Men's Golf in 5th after 1st round at Carey Collegiate Classic

Hattiesburg, MS - The Lindsey Wilson men's golf team carded an 11-over par 299 during the opening round of the Carey Collegiate Classic on Monday hosted by William Carey (MS) at the Canebrake Country Club.

The Blue Raiders sit just 11 strokes behind tournament leader and No. 2-ranked Dalton State (GA). LWC is one stroke behind fourth-place Meridian (MS) and two strokes head of No. 19-ranked William Carey in the 12-team event.


Both Rasmus Broholt Lind and Jeremiah Hayes finished the day in the top 10 as the duo is tied for eighth place in the individual standings. The pair fired even-par 72s and is three strokes behind the tournament leaders.

Cody Mingus shot a 5-over par 77 and is tied for 29th place while Callum Blinkhorn is one stroke behind him after his opening round 78 in a tie for 33rd. Connor True completes the five-man squad in a tie for 63rd place after his 85.
