Farm, Home & Garden EXPO is Sat 17 Mar 2018

The 2018 Farm, Home & Garden EXPO presented by the Adair County Extension Council will be 10am-2pmCT, Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the Adair County Elementary School, 870 Indian Drive, Columbia, KY.

The 2018 EXPO will feature new activities as well as some of the traditional activities of past, including vendors and youth activities.



Special demonstrations this year will include a variety of classes being offered by Kathy Jones, owner of Little House of Fabrics. Demonstrations will be held throughout the day on items including Covered Clothespins Crafts, Tacking Quilts, Toothbrush Rugs and Crocheted Rugs.

Youth who attend the EXPO may participate in making at clay pot wind chime.

4-H members will be competing in Cupcake Wars with teams of two competing for the best cartoon character inspired cupcake.

Attendees will vote for their favorite! A wide variety of vendors are signed up for this year’s event. The complete list to date includes:
Turkey Ridge Farms, Blackaby Hill Farm, Family Resource Center, Bank of Columbia, Day and Day Feed, Usborne Books and More, Burkmann Feed of Columbia, Laurel Ridge Meat Farm, Somerset Community College, Lonely Acre Farm, KY Farm Bureau, Goats and a Gal Landscaping, Adair County Youth Coalition, Luxury Lawn & Landscape, LulaRoe by Emily Absher, Farm Service Agency, Adair County Community Voice, Meade Tractor & Equipment, Adair County Garden Club, Princess & Pirates, Farmers Market on the Square, United Citizens Bank, Sugarfoot Farm Rescue, Crossroads Flowers & Gifts.
This year we will serve hot dogs for lunch and desserts will be provided by the Adair County Extension Homemakers. As always, the UK Cooperative Extension Service will be distributing publications on agriculture, gardening, fruit trees, food preservation & storing vegetables, and much more!
