KSP Post 15 traffic deaths now 29, slightly down from YTD one year ago. Statewide traffic deaths were 762 YTD 2017, down from 834 from previous YTD. Gregory, Public Information Officer Kentucky State Post 15, Columbia, KY COLUMBIA, KY (Wed 10 Jan 2018) – During the month of December 2017, there were 17 traffic accidents investigated by the State Police working in the Post 15 area in the 11 counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Taylor and Washington. There were five fatal collisions during the month of December in the Post 15 area:
Statewide fatality count stands at 762 compared with 834 through this same period in 2016. During the month of December 2017, there were 1414 citations written, 306 courtesy notices written, 1284 vehicles inspected, 719 complaints answered, 75 motorists assisted, 54 criminal cases opened and 219 criminal arrests made.
