Adair Co. Grand Jury returns indictments 13 Sept 2017
Indictments brought against 15 individuals from Russell Springs, Knifley, Campbellsville, and Columbia, KY, on charges including forgery, DUI, possession, assault, burglary, wanton endangerment, and tampering with public records.
NOTE: Indictments are considered formal charges. An indictment is not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by indictment is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.
The Adair County, KY Circuit Court grand jury, Columbia, KY, returned indictments against the following individuals on Wednesday, 13 September 2017:
- Nicholas A. Popplewell (05/12/1980), Carey Rd, Russell Springs, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00136. Charged with 4 counts. Counts 1-2 - Criminal possession of a forged instrument, 1st degree. Counts 3-4 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Bail set at $1,500 c/sec prop, arraignment 9/26/2017 at 1pmCT.
- Jonathan M. Dickson (09/14/1995), Liberty Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00137. Charged with 6 counts. Count 1 - Criminal possession of a forged instrument, 1st degree. Count 2 - Receiving stolen property, less than $500. Count 3 - Possession of marijuana. Count 4 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense (methamphetamine). Count 5 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Count 6 - Possession of a controlled substance, 2nd degree, drug unspecified. Bail set at $1,500 c/sec prop, arraignment 9/26/2017 at 1pmCT.

- Jason Dewayne Dick (09/11/1980), E. Ingram Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00142. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Assault, 4th degree (domestic violence), 3rd or more offense within 5 years. Arraignment 9/26/2017 at 1pmCT.
