Planting bulbs with Auggie and Gracie on McKinley Lane

Mitzi McKinley Bault journals about life and times on McKinley Lane in Columbia, KY. Today's news is about her work planting spring bulbs with the help of her dogs Auggie and Gracie.

She wrote, "I have some spring bulbs that should have already been put out. The wind comes from the backside of our house. So I got my mud boots, bulbs and spade and went to the front. For some reason Auggie barks at a broom, weed eater, etc.

I got some bulbs planted with some good help.

Gracie wanted to lay where I wanted to plant.

Auggie took off running across the yard with one bag of bulbs.

Up I got to chase after Auggie, he would look back to see if I was coming after him.

Got a good work out and got the last of the bulbs planted.

I looked back and Auggie was digging some up.

Only on McKinley Lane."
NOTE: Mitzi always ends her journal notes with prayer requests -- today for her Mama, Fay McKinley, and her cousin, Don Cravens, so those prayer requests are extended here as well since this is being shared by her aunt who she gives permission to quote. And she always adds a positive saying which shows her thankfulness for every single day. -- LW
