By Charles Balcom, Assistant SID, Lindsey Wilson College

COLUMBIA, KY (Mon 23 Jan 2017) - For the fourth time this season, Cam Tessari is the Mid-South Conference Wrestler of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday. The junior from Monroeville, Ohio compiled a 6-0 week en route to the weekly conference honor.

Tessari opened the week with a 16-1 technical fall against Bobby Ehman of Cumberlands (KY) in the Blue Raiders' 20-18 win over the Patriots.

He then followed with a 5-0 performance at the Missouri Valley College Invitational on his way to the title at the 157-pound bracket. Tessari pinned his first three opponents at the tournament to reach the semifinals. In the semis, he defeated No. 7-ranked Giovanny Bonilla of Southeastern (Fla.) before topping fifth-ranked Brandon Weber of Montana State-Northern in the championship bout to improve to 26-2 on the year.
