Inmate assaulted at Kentucky State Reformatory dies Death believed result of fight at prison at LaGrange, Oldham County, KY on January 4, 2017 By Mike Caudill, Kentucky Department of Corrections News from Commonwealth News Center FRANKFORT, KY (Thu 12 Jan 2017) - A death investigation is being conducted after a fight occurred between two inmates on January 4, 2017 at the Kentucky State Reformatory in LaGrange. One of the inmates sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where he died of his injuries yesterday. Kentucky State Police Post 5 is in charge of the investigation.
