Injury Collision on KY 80 in Casey County, KY

Single vehicle accident occurs near Windsor Community on KY 80 between Russell Springs and Nancy, KY, when, preliminary investigations indicate, 16 year old Russell Springs driver loses control of vehicle in curve, leaves roadway, and overturns. Driver transported to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital for treatment

WINDSOR, KY (Sat 1 Oct 2016) Kentucky State Police Columbia investigated a single vehicle injury collision on KY 80 near the Windsor Community this morning at 9:30amET.



Preliminary investigations indicate that 16 year-old Amber Burton of Russell Springs was operating a 2005 Chevrolet west on KY 80 when she lost control of her vehicle in a curve. Burton then ran off the road where the vehicle overturned.
Burton was wearing her seat belt and was transported to Lake Cumberland hospital in Somerset with non-life threatening injuries.

Trooper First Class Mike Woodrum is investigating.
