KSP recovers over $200,000.00 of stolen equipment in Cumberland Co, KY

News from Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY

BURKESVILLE, KY (20 Jul 2016) 45-year-old Lanny D. Allen, of Indianapolis, IN, has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of Receiving Stolen Property over $10,000 and Receiving Stolen Property under $10,000. and lodged in the Cumberland County Jail.



On Tuesday, May 17, 2016 the Cumberland County Sheriff's Department recovered a stolen dump truck out of Indianapolis, IN. As a result of the investigation, Allen, a part time resident of Burkesville, KY was identified as a suspect.

The Sheriff's Department, in conjunction with detectives from Post 15 and the Kentucky State Police Vehicle Investigations section, executed an arrest warrant and Allen was arrested on Tuesday, July 19, 2016. A subsequent search of several properties led to the recovery of over $200,000.00 in stolen cars, farm equipment and other items.
