Mrs. Margena Carol Bishop, Grab, Green Co., KY (1940-2016)

She was beloved and remembered as a childcare giver for so many. She was a member of the Old Salem Baptist Church and of one of Green County's most respected families. She was a native of Green County, KY, and was a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was the daughter of thelate Weldon and Mary Shuffett Bishop and the widow of Paul William Price. She leaves 12 direct living descendants.

Mrs. Margena Carol Bishop Price, 75 departed this life Saturday, June 4, 2016 at her home in the Grab Community of Green County, KY.

The funeral service for Mrs. Margena Carol Bishop will be at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court Street, Greensburg, KY, at 10amCT, Wednesday, June 8, 2016. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT, Tuesday, June 7, 2016, and after 7amCT, Wednesday at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home. Ministers will be Bro. Darrell Landis and Bro. Howard Moran. Interment will be in Green County Memory Garden, Summersville, KY.



Pallbearers: Thomas Price, Karsten Price, Tommy Price, Jonathan Meadows, Gaige Meadows, Alan Cundiff, Marlon Wooldridge and Ricky Arnett.

Mrs. Margena Carol Bishop, Grab, Green Co., KY (1940-2016) Mrs. Margena Carol Bishop Price was born Sunday, September 15, 1940 in Green County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Weldon and Mary Shuffett Bishop. She departed this life Saturday, June 4, 2016 at her home in the Grab Community of Green County, KY having attained the age 75, eight months and 19 days.

Mrs. Price had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Old Salem Baptist Church. She was a childcare giver and homemaker.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul William Price; one grandchild, Braiden Meadows and one brother, Jackie Bishop.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two sons and two daughters: Karsten Price, Renita Price and her significant other, Marlon Wooldridge; Dana and Ricky Arnett, and Tommy Price all of Green County, KY

  • Grandchildren: Jonathan and Tiffany Meadows, Tammy and Alan Cundiff, Thomas Price and Gaige Meadows

  • Great grandchildren: Abrie Meadows, Liam Meadows and Madelyn Cundiff

  • Two brothers and their wives: Ronnie and Sharon Bishop and Joey and Karen Bishop, all of Greensburg, KY

  • Four sisters and their husbands: Bernice and Marcus Wisdom, Faye and Gordan Davis, all of Greensburg, KY; Charlotte and Jimmy Bradley of Burkesville, KY, and Susan and Tom Kelly, of Greensburg, KY

  • Three sisters-in-law: Lillian Bishop, Pat and husband Scotty Davis and Janice Mays, all of Greensburg, KY
The family has requested that expressions of sympathy by donations to Hospuras. These can be made at the funeral home.
