James Carson McDonald, 73, Russell Co., KY (1942-2016)

He was a Vietnam War Veteran of the U.S. Army and will be accorded full military honors at committal rites at Mill Springs National Cemetery. He was a member of Patterson Chapel Church of Christ. He was a native of Casey County, KY, and a resident of Russell County, KY, at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Avery& OraIsabelle Weir McDonald. His wife, Anna McDonald, survives. He leaves four direct living descendants.

James Carson McDonald, 73, of Russell Springs, died Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, KY, of injuries sustained in auto accident in Pulaski County, KY.

Funeral service for James Carson McDonald will be 12pmCT, Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, Ky, with Donald A. Thomas speaking. Visitation will be after 10amCT, Tuesday, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Mill Springs National Cemetery, 9020 W KY 80, Nancy, KY, with full military honors by the Russell County Honor Guard.



James Carson McDonald, 73, Russell Co., KY (1942-2016)

He was born Monday, November 8, 1942 in Casey County, KY. He was the son of the late Avery & Ora Isabelle Weir McDonald. He died Thursday, June 2, 2016 in Lexington, Fayette County, KY, at the age of 73 years, six months, and 25 days.

He was a Vietnam War Veteran of US Army and a member of Patterson Chapel Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandchild, James Kendall McDonald; and two sisters, Ruby Morris, Imogene Callaghan.

He is survived by his wife, Anna McDonald, Russell Springs, KY, and the following:
  • Two children: Debra (Freddie) Sayers, Russell Springs, KY; and James Timothy McDonald, Casey County, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Tyler Ray Sayers, and MacKenzie (Brandon) Minton

  • Four sisters: Roxie MacDonald, Windsor, KY; Sandra Keiser, Upper Darby, PA; Faye Thomas, Windsor, KY; and Ann Chrusciel, Georgetown, KY

  • Three brothers: Billy McDonald, Russell Springs, KY; Dennis McDonald, Harrodsburg, KY; and David McDonald, Russell Springs, KY
