LEWISTON, ID - The 2016 season is on the line today when the eighth-seeded Lindsey Wilson baseball team takes on sixth-seeded Auburn-Montgomery (AL) in an elimination game at the Avista-NAIA Baseball World Series.

The Blue Raiders (43-24) and Warhawks (46-16) square off in the win-or-go-home game with first pitch scheduled for 2pmCT/12pmNoonPT, at Harris Field.

After winning their opening game of the double-elimination tournament against The Master's (Calif.) on Friday, the Blue Raiders led a late lead slip away to top-overall seed Faulkner (AL) on Saturday as the 5-4 loss dropped them down into the consolation bracket. Auburn-Montgomery has already fought off elimination once.

The Warhawks dropped their tournament opener to third-seeded Bellevue 6-5 before outlasting 10th-seeded Point (GA) in a marathon 14-inning game, 11-9, on Saturday to stay alive at the World Series.

Lindsey Wilson and No. 6-ranked Auburn-Montgomery met one time earlier this season back on February 21, with the Warhawks edging out a 4-3 victory.

The winner advances to face the loser of Bellevue and second-seeded Tennessee Wesleyan on Tuesday, while the loser's season comes to an end.

First pitch between Lindsey Wilson and Auburn-Montgomery is scheduled for 2pmCT/12pmNoonPT, at Harris Field, 500 8th Avenue, Lewiston, ID.
