LWC cycling finishes 33rd at USA Cycling Collegiate Road National Championships By David Gerhart MARSHALL, NC (Mon 16 May 2016) - The Lindsey Wilson cycling team capped off their 2016 slate with a 33rd-place finish at the USA Cycling Collegiate Road National Championships this past weekend in Marshall, NC. The Blue Raiders sent Wyatt Myers, Josiah Peterson and Michael Hart to the event. The trio totaled 22 points over the weekend to place them in 33rd out of 61 teams. Myers finished 25th overall as an individual as he was the lone Blue Raider to compete in the road race and the criterium. Myers accumulated 43 points over the two events. Stefan Rothe of Midwestern State (Texas) captured the individual championships at the men's Division I level, while Marian (Ind.) took home the team championship. In the road race, Myers posted a 39th-place finish in the field of 112 finishers, with a time of 2:51.45. Peterson finished the race in 3:10.28, which slotted him in 82nd, while Hart rounded out the trio in 108th with a time of 3:36.33. Rothe won the road race with time of 2:46.26, while Sean Gardner of Virginia Tech and Willem Kaiser of Georgia were just behind Rothe as they crossed the line in 2:47.28. Myers rounded out the weekend with a 25th-place finish in the 100-person field criterium.
