In the escort are members of Freedom Warriors, Patriot Guard, Widow Sons, and Rolling Thunder. The wall will be on display today, May 12 through May 16, 2016, at Bowling Park. Tonight there will be an opening ceremony at Bowling Park starting at 6pmCT, which will include taps by Paul Wayne Kirby, Posting of Colors by 623rd A Battery Field Artillery, the National Anthem by Taryn Deckard, Pledge of Allegiance by Bill Lagermann and Bill Lytle, and invocation by Kim Koger. Mayor Howard Garrett will give a welcome address, and Metcale County Judge Executive Greg Wilson will read a proclamation. State VFW Commander Randall McComas will be the special speaker for the evening. The Barren County ROTC will host the POW/MIA Table. David Froggett, Jr., will sing the "Ballad of the Green Beret."
