Ramona Grant Collins, 86, Adair Co., KY (1930-2016)

She was a member of First Christian Church in Hopkinsville, KY, where had served as both a Deacon and Board Member. She had been a long-time member of the Town & Country Homemakers Club. She was a member of a prominent Adair County, KY, family. She was the daughter of Robert Aaron and Shirley Williams Grant, and the widow of James R. "Bob" Collins. She leaves four direct living descendants.

Ramona Grant Collins, 86, of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, died Monday, May 2, 2016 at 1:20amCT, at her residence.

Funeral service will be Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 1pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Rev. Nathan Brown officiating. Burial will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 11amCT, Saturday, at the funeral home.



Casket bearers: Ben McCloud, Dale McCloud, Ronnie Grant, Robert Bell, Mike McCloud, and Pat McCloud.

Ramona Grant Collins, 86, Adair Co., KY (1930-2016)

She was born February 26, 1930, in Adair County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Robert Aaron and Shirley Williams Grant. She died Monday, May 2, 2016, in Hopkinsville, Christian County, KY, at the age of 86 years, two months, and six days.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James R. "Bob" Collins in February 1997.

She was a member of First Christian Church in Hopkinsville, where had served as both a Deacon and Board Member. She had been a long-time member of the Town & Country Homemakers Club.

Survivors include:
  • Two sons: David A. (Trish) Collins of Hopkinsville, Steven G. Collins of Beverly Hills, Michigan

  • One brother: Bill (Sue) Grant of Columbia, KY

  • Two sisters: Elizabeth Faust of Louisville, KY; and Joyce Flynn of Costa Mesa, CA

  • Two grandchildren: Brian D. (Heather) Collins, and Laura E. Collins
