Russell Co., KY collision takes life of 35-year-old Pedro Zuniga

RUSSELL SPRINGS, KY (Mon 2 May 2016) – Tpr. Levi Scott is investigating a collision that occurred Saturday, April 30, 2016 at approximately 9:50pmCT, on KY 76 south of Russell Springs, KY.



35-year-old Pedro Zuniga was operating a northbound 1995 Jeep when the vehicle left the roadway and overturned.

Zuniga was not belted and was ejected from the vehicle. The vehicle came to rest on top of Zuniga and he was pronounced dead at the scene by the Russell County Coroner. Alcohol is believed to have been a contributing factor.

Tpr. Scott was assisted at the scene by the Russell County Sheriff’s Office and EMS and the Eli Volunteer Fire Department.
