The Whitehurst Diaries: A Fine Catch

Click on headline for Diary Entry with photos

By Sharon Whitehurst

Jim and our neighbor, Jay Rose, spent Sunday evening fishing the big pond on our Pellyton property. Each hauled in a good-sized Large Mouth Bass. The occasion was rounded out with a demonstration of 'fillet' techniques by Jay; (several of our resident felines were fascinated by the process.) We've had fish for supper--dredged in a home made mix of flour, cornmeal and seasoning and fried to delicate crispness. We've given it a 'gourmet' rating.
