Joyce Coomer: Thankful for 7 Favorite Foods

Thanksgiving. She's thankful for favorite foods and the restaurants who serve them

By Joyce Coomer

Thanksgiving celebrations sometimes get tied more to the different foods served than actually giving thanks for our blessings. Since food is so often equaled with Thanksgiving Day, I'm sending a list of a few of my favorite foods around town and who serves them . . .

  1. Cornbread from Moore's Pool & Lunch
  2. Blueberry muffins from The Harvest Cafe
  3. Bacon from Five Star on Jamestown Street
  4. Maple glazed donuts from Best Donuts
  5. Blueberry pomegranate smoothies from McDonald's
  6. Rice noodles from Tray's Garden
  7. Lima beans from Betty's OK Country Cooking
I eat occasionally at nearly every restaurant in town, so have other foods that I enjoy but can't remember them all at the moment . . .

Thanks to all the restaurants for being open and serving foods I like!

- Joyce M. Coomer

Thanks Joyce Coomer - Appreciate the list, and the attention to the people we count on every day for our food. - CM
