12th Annual C/AC of Commerce Community Golf Scramble Click on headline for story with photo(s), link to Card of Thanks THANKS to our sponsors of 12th Annual Columbia-Adair Chamber of Commerce Community Golf Scramble By Brenda Mann Despite a week delay and cool damp weather the 12th annual Columbia-Adair Chamber of Commerce held on Thu 16 Oct 2014, was a very enjoyable day for the participants and Chamber members who helped host the scramble. Winners were: First Place Overall $400 cash prize: Chaz Giles, Kerry Humphress, Brenna Humphress, Jadell Janes, Dr. Ronald "Butch" Rogers. Second Place Overall $300 cash prize: Byron Hixson, Roger Meadows, Boomer Lewis, Jamie Yarberry, Josh Withers Third Place Overall $200 cash prize: Steve Martin, Wes Bryant, Eric West, Larry Neat Closest to Pin $50 cash prizes: Chaz Giles, Hole 15; Boomer Lewis Hole 8 and 11; Josh Withers, Hole 3 For some participants, it was a relaxing afternoon away from the normal work day routine, but for others it was a serious competition defining skill. However, at the end of the day it was great conversation, business networking and comradeship with old and new friends that made the day worthwhile. A tremendous thanks to all the Golf Scramble Sponsors who helped make this event possible for our community.
