Westlake Hospital in Nation's top 100 for Patient Experience

Only 11 Hospitals in Kentucky Made the List Special Report/CM Healthy Lifestyles

The Women's Choice Awards, the only national list that simplifies a women's choice when selecting a hospital, has placed Westlake Regional Hospital in the top 100 hospitals in the America, and named it the No. 1 Small Hospital in Kentucky for Patient Experience.

The WCA process uses scores that are taken from the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems database, then extracts the female population and determines the award winners. Results can be found at:

The Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (also known as HCAHPS and a division of Medicare) conducts a survey used for data collection to measure satisfaction during hospital visits once a patient has been released from the hospital.

According to a hospital spokesperson, patient satisfaction at Westlake Regional Hospital is at an all-time high, with 100% of patients reporting that they would definitely recommend the hospital to others. The Kentucky and national average is just 71%.
