COLUMBIA, KY- Lindsey Wilson football junior Josh Haney is the Mid-South Conference Special Teams Player of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday, October 13, 2014.

Haney recovered a block punt and returned it 20 yards for a touchdown in the Blue Raiders' 31-7 win at No. 25-ranked Kentucky Christian last Saturday to earn the award.

The Florence, Ala., running back provided the first touchdown of the game with the scoop and score to give Lindsey Wilson a 10-0 lead in the third quarter after a scoreless first half.

He added 39 rushing yards to help the Blue Raiders remain unbeaten in the MSC East Division.

Haney is the second Blue Raider this season to earn MSC Player of the Week honors after Andrew Wahl earned Defensive Player of the Week honors on September 1.
