No. 9 LWC Volleyball at Pikeville for Thu 9 Oct 2014 match Blue Raiders perched atop the Mid-South Conference leaderboard with a perfect 7-0 record By Matthew Stokes News from Lindsey Wilson College COLUMBIA, KY - The ninth-ranked Lindsey Wilson volleyball team plays at Pikeville (KY) in a 6pmCT match on Thursday, October 9, 2014, at UPIKE Gymnasium, 128 Kilgore Street, Pikeville, KY 41501. Just 10 days ago in their first meeting of the season, the Blue Raiders (20-2, 7-0 Mid-South Conference) turned away the Bears (12-10, 0-7 MSC) in straight sets at Biggers Sports Center as the hosts finished with a season-high .446 hitting percentage as a team. As an entire unit, the Lindsey Wilson squad ranks 20th in the NAIA this year with an average of 13.2 kills per set. Individually, five different Blue Raider players have more than 125 digs this season, including Kirsten King (174), Caitlyn Tino (168), Makenzie Montano (148), Alexa Just (143) and Kellie Ranney (127). On the opposite of the net, Pikeville remains in search of its first MSC victory this year. Since their match with Lindsey Wilson on Sept. 29, however, the Bears have won 3-of-4, including a pair of 3-0 sweeps against Alice Lloyd (KY) and Johnson (TN), respectively. Sydney Hall paces Pikeville with 183 kills this season, and Sydney Morris tops all Bear players with 622 assists. Caitlynn Pfaddt has a team-leading 41 service aces.
