LW Cycling places Fifth at USA Track National Championships The Blue Raiders posted their top finish of the day in the mixed team sprint race as the squad of Emily Bramel, Hannah Hayduk, Wyatt Myers and David Novak placed third By Tyler Scott News from Lindsey Wilson Cycling INDIANAPOLIS Ind. - The Lindsey Wilson cycling team finished in fifth place out of 15 teams with 702 total points at the USA Track National Championships on Sunday, 28 Oct 2014, at Major Taylor Velodrome 3649 Cold Springs Rod, Indianapolis, IN. The Blue Raiders posted their top finish of the day in the mixed team sprint race as the squad of Emily Bramel, Hannah Hayduk, Wyatt Myers and David Novak placed third in a time of 2:21.11. Colorado Mesa University finished five seconds ahead of the Blue Raiders with a time of 2:21:06 to win the event. Chris Tveter led the Blue Raiders in the men's scratch race as he posted a top-10 finish in eighth place. Michael Hart crossed the finish line in 27th place as Luke Lukas came in 29th place. Novak placed 35th to round out the men's side. In the women's scratch race, Hayduk was the lone individual competing for Lindsey Wilson finishing in 14th place. Hayduk led the Blue Raiders with an 18th place finish as an individual with 180 total points and Emily Bramel placed 30th with 92 total points. Tveter led the men's squad placing 13th overall with 222 total points. Novak finished in 20th with 181 total points, while Hart placed 42nd with 67 points. Myers and Lukas rounded out the Blue Raider squad placing 46th and 48th respectively. Myers accumulated 54 points and Lukas had 39. Marian (IN) took home the team title with 1201 total points, 499 more points than Lindsey Wilson. Fort Lewis (CO) and Midwestern State (TX) round out the top three placing second and third, respectively. Fort Lewis totaled 949 points and Midwestern State had 803. The University of Colorado-Boulder finished 51 points ahead of the Blue Raiders with 753 points. Lindenwood (Ill.) totaled 668 points to place sixth. This story was posted on 2014-09-29 03:56:00
