William E. (Bill) Sallee, Taylor County, KY (1927-2013)

He was a Veteran of War World II, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War, having served his country honorably in the United States Air Force and the United Sates Army and retired as a Technical Sergeant. He will be accorded full military honors at interment by Marion County Veterans Honor Guard. He was also a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville, KY.

William E. "Bill" Sallee, 85, of Campbellsville, KY died at 9:35 P.M., Sunday, March 17, 2013, in Campbellsville.

The funeral service will be at 10amCT/11amET, Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Minister Steve Lee. Burial will be Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg Road, Campbellsville, KY, with full military honors by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, at the funeral home.



Pallbearers: Doug Cox, Darrell Dudgeon, John Wesley Gaines. Arthur Lewis Milby, Chris Sallee, Logan Sallee, Jr., Maurice Edward Sallee, and Robert Shaw

He was the son of the late William Arthur Sallee and Mary Anna Murrell Sallee. He born in Taylor County, KY, Wednesday, April 27, 1927. He died Sunday, March 17, 2013, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 85 years, 10 months, and 20 days.


He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Sunny Hill Church of Christ.

He was a Veteran of War World II, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War, having served his country honorably in the United States Air Force and the United Sates Army and retired as a Technical Sergeant.

He was also a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

He is survived by the following:
  • One daughter and special friend: Gina Lyn Sallee and Gary B. Cox of Campbellsville, KY

  • One brother and four sisters: Daymon Sallee, Jewell (Jay) Cox, and Lora Mae Dudgeon of Campbellsville, KY; Mary Elizabeth Vance of Greensburg, KY; and Athol Milby of Summersville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • And many other relatives and friends
He was also preceded in death by one sister and two brothers: Delois Bell, Logan Ray Sallee and Maurice Gene Sallee.

The Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY in charge of arrangements.
